Poole Runners’ dominance of the Carnival Run continued this year as the team won three out of the four awards at the Corfe Mullen recreation ground on Tuesday 9th June. Nathan Shrubb claimed the trophy for the first male to finish in the 5km race and set a new course record time of 14 minutes 59 seconds in the process, a whole 28 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor. Team mate Verity Ockenden was the first to finish in the ladies race in the very respectable time of 18 minutes 27 seconds.
